Dedicated Bus Technician recognized for strong multitasking abilities and effective task management. Experienced in performing inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance, contributing to enhanced vehicle performance and safety.
During my time as a technician I acquired a C tech qualification where I apprenticed under the higher B and A techs to learn what was expected of me in my position as well as what more I could do to potentially move up and beyond it.
I learned how to inspect and diagnose bus issues while also gaining the problem solving skills necessary to fix said issues while also learning basic maintenance procedures such as brake changes for both the larger international, blue bird, thomas, etc. Air brake systems and the smaller ford/chevy hydraulic brake systems. As well as do tire changes, oil changes, regular mileage based services and received training for NY DoT level inspections
With that I also received standard training for lift operation as well as CDL training for B licensing necessities.
During my time at Applebee's I started from a bottom position as a "host" in charge of cleaning tables and keeping the restaurant tidy as well as managing guest arrivals and seating organizations. With time and satisfactory performance review I was able to gradually move my way up to handling the to-go food operating services where I was then expected to answer phones and communicate with guests while keeping track and properly entering in the computer systems their food orders while also on occasion having to manage the kitchen for the other workers and even bagging the food orders for my guests myself. Once I finally did get into the serving position I was tasked with multitasking keeping a clean area where I was directed to work, handle caring for guests, managing food orders, helping others with their food orders or understanding the computer systems and although it was unofficial I did on occasion train some of the newer employees that would come into the job.
