  • I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. In addition to this, I hold a Level 3 certification in Social Studies education and a Level 1 certification in Educational Leadership in Louisiana. I have over 20 years of educational experience in various roles. I have completed two sessions of Aspiring Leaders with the School Leadership Center at the University of New Orleans, focusing on real school improvement and quality school leadership.
  • I am data driven, professional, focused on fostering high quality educational institutions, and considerate of all. As an administrator at McKinley Senior High in Baton Rouge, LA & Sophie B. Wright High School in New Orleans, I’ve learned that effective school leadership is extremely critical in creating a culture which ensures that all students are provided the necessary skills and knowledge to compete in a diverse and global society. As a teacher and Leadership Team member at Lake Area Early College High School in New Orleans as well as teaching at St. Tammany Junior High School, I understand the benefits of having strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Students may have entered my classroom unwilling to learn but left with a zest and hunger for high academic achievement. I believe that I can transfer this knowledge to this position.
