Summary
I clearly knew I had passion for teaching as a youngster. As an only child I adored "playing school." Reality is teaching requires long hours... most certainly, however the overwhelming feeling and excitement when a student makes progress is unlike any other.
Teaching isn't simply a career, but more of a calling. I totally respect young folks making that choice in today's world where they could undeniably earn much more income from making another choice.
My journey of classroom teaching extended over 35 years. Additionally I have worked as a Supplemental Teacher for some 8 years (a delightful part time job).
