I have served as a grade level chair. I have also mentored other teachers. I was the Teacher of the Month at Black Street Early Childhood Center for the moth of September. This year I also won first place in a writing contest from the Community Innovators Association for my essay entitled, "The Book That Made My Mind Bloom." That particular book that blew my mind was the book entitled "Everything That I Needed to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Fullgham.
