  • At Kilgore college I was a member of several leadership teams, active in several clubs and organizations such as Ranger Ambassadors, Latinos En Accion, Process Technology club and the Trio Club, which I was the President of the latter two. I was also inducted into several honor societies including National Technical Honor Society.
  • At Eastman Chemical, I was elected the Crew Safety Representative, which I was responsible for attending site wide safety meetings, attending safety conferences around the state, and leading the crew in daily and monthly safety meetings. I was also a member of the recruiting team where I would attend local schools and job fairs to recruit future operators and maintenance mechanics. I was also awarded several performance and safety bonuses for job and safety performance during plant turnarounds or large plant upsets.
