  • Quality Inspection: Assures the quality and safety of ordnance material and operations as related to the receipt, issue, storage, handling, segregation, renovation, preservation and packing of such items. Performs receipt and issue inspection of ordnance items and certifies items as ready for issue. Inspects and approves transportation conveyances as suitable for loading, blocking, and bracing.
  • Blocking and Bracing: Blocks, braces, and lashes any vehicle, vessel, or other conveyance laden with explosives, hazardous materials, or any ordnance related components to the appropriate military standards, weapons requirements, and/or related specifications. Secures ordnance assets in a variety of conveyances such as ships, vans, flatbeds, boxcars, and barges.
  • Forklift Operation: Offloads and onloads ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels, and other conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, and stackers. Operates forklift trucks in areas including warehouses, rail cars, trucks, vessels and other confined spaces as well as outside areas having a variety of unpaved, unimproved, or rough surfaces. Independently determines sequences of loading and unloading.
  • Inventory: Accountable for all material stored within a designated facility, group of facilities, conveyances, or storage areas. Schedules inventory and scans assets. Requests and conducts unscheduled inventories for magazine refusals, bounce backs, and scan discrepancies.
