I was hired in as Davenport Terminal Manager for Aggregates. We started with 125 trucks and quickly built our fleet to 350 trucks by 2021. We also grew our load count by over one hundred percent from 2018 to 2021, during our busiest time we handled a little over 10,000 loads/week.
I handled all safety aspects for the terminal such as conducting quarterly safety meetings with 325 drivers, safety lanes, road patrols, visit to jobsites prior to hauling, handling all accidents and claims, etc...
I began to focus on the customer service aspects of the business. We were not very good and I was able to add a Customer Service person and 2 dispatchers to our office to greatly enhance the customer experience by being proactive in communication with the customer and the sales team.
I was able to get a new Terminal Manager into Davenport so I could focus on the Dispatch and Customer Service to continue to grow the business and begin the journey of Sales within New Line Transport.
Able to maintain and grow the Sales side of the business by enhancing relationships with the sourcing locations, other haulers, sales team and customers.
