Life safety and commitment to my community has always been a career interest of mine. But my family has been my biggest influence. My dad and two uncles are firefighters, and my grandfather was an Omaha fire chief for many years. Growing up around firefighters has helped me understand the first responder lifestyle. I have the ability to stay calm in stressful situations and utilize my critical thinking skills to solve a problem when needed. I have been told I have good communication skills to where I can keep a patient calm and comfortable during traumatic situations. I am confident that my skill-sets and qualifications will make me an ideal candidate for this position.
