- Received an Intelligence Agency Meritorious Commendation award in 2009, as lead NGA analyst in support of a multi-agency level task-force tasked to recover Colombian presidential candidate, Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. SRS Hostages captured by the FARC. NGA/PLMC's support was essential to an eventual operation known as "Operation Jacque", which resulted in the rescue of Ms Betancourt , SRS hostages, and 13 additional hostages after five years of captivity, without incident.
