Vacuum Technician and QC Manager

  • Filled out Cold Rate of Rise and Warm Rate of Rise reports, vacuum logs (micron readings) and leak report log to document work completed.
  • Troubleshot malfunctions and diagnosed issues to equipment and/or parts quickly and complete.
  • Removed wiring, piping and tubing to complete the vacuum investigation in its entirety to give an estimate to the customer of the fix that is required.
  • Installed new components or replaced defective parts to meet the customers requirements.
  • Inspect for vacuum leaks once the general location of the leak was determined using a blanket (tarp). Then use process of elimination to narrow down the location of the vacuum leak.
  • Inspect cryogenic transport trailers to DOT standards and wrote the reports and sticker them if acceptable.
  • Perform Level II Liquid Penetrant tests and filled out the reports.
  • Inspect inner vessel condition and complete a report of what is broken, cracked or out of tolerance.
  • wrote R1 Data Forms for submission to the NBIC. Responsible for customer and ASME / NBIC code audits. Check drawings, calculations and verify customer and code compliances; maintain weld qualification records and WPS qualifications; responsible for QC Manual compliance.
