• The primary function of the Journeyman Mechanic is to maintain the function of equipment and machinery.
• Preform general maintenance, preventive maintenance, installation, and rebuilding parts and equipment.
• Fabricate and replace sections of pipe.
• Learn and understand piping systems.
• Mount and lineup electric motors and pumps.
• Lubricating equipment to maintain performance.

Welding in different processes including:

• Short circuit MIG welding
• Dual shield MIG welding
• Aluminum spool gun welding
• Stick welding. Mild steel, stainless steel and cast iron
• TIG welding mild steel, stainless steel and silicon bronze brazing

Operating a forklift, in order to, unload deliveries of metal, and

move heavy equipment that needs to be repaired. The heavy equipment includes (backhoes, excavators buckets, boom mowers, tractor plows, etc.)

Working on boats patching holes, fabricating skimmers. frames modifying, net rigging.

Building drainage pumps in a range of different sizes from 10" to 36".

• Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
• Using welding skills to help repair and maintain heavy-duty machinery.
• Creating safety guards, angle irons and square tubing.
• Welding fabricated materials, while continuously checking for safety and quality.

• Re-stocked, organized and arranged service and food stations.
• Cleaned and sanitized kitchen equipment and work stations.
• Cleaned utensils, dishes and glasses for customer use.
• Maintained clean and sanitized work area in accordance with food safety guidelines, avoiding cross-contamination of raw and prepared food products.
• Worked in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

• Position and hold timbers, lumber or paneling in place for fastening or cutting
• Erect scaffolding, shoring , or braces
• Preform tie spacing layout and measure, mark drill or cut
• Select tools, equipment or materials from storage and transport items to work site
• Fasten timbers or lumber with glue, screws, pegs, or nails and install hardware
• Secure stakes to grids for construction of footings, nail scabs to footing forms, and vibrate and float concrete
• Clean work areas, machines, or equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site
• Align, straighten, plumb, or square forms for installation., Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment to aid in establishing reference point lines
• Cut timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specific dimensions, and drill holes in timbers or lumber
• Construct forms and assist in raising them to the required elevation
• Install handrails under the direction of a carpenter
• Smoot or sand surfaces to remove ridges, tool marks, glue or caulking
• Glue and clamp edges or joints of assembled parts
• Cut and install insulating or sound-absorbing material
• Cut tile or linoleum to fit and spread adhesives on flooring for installation
• Cover surfaces with laminated plastic covering material.
