AMANDA WHITEHEAD

Doctor Of Pharmacy

Summary

I am a hardworking and passionate job seeker with a variety of strong skills that allow me to work in multiple positions. I am eager to secure a remote position currently due to the fact that I live in a rural area that has lost six retail pharmacies in the last five years. I am ready to do what it takes to help a team achieve company goals and learn new skills along the way.

I am a dedicated Pharmacist offering eighteen years of experience ensuring accurate review, processing and dispensing of medications in alignment with orders. Before beginning pharmacy school I worked an additional four years in retail pharmacy to gain experience. Although I am very well educated from the number one rated Pharmacy School in the Nation, I like to think it is my personal skills that set me apart from others. I have a wonderful working relationship with all of my patients and fellow healthcare providers. I have worked in retail most of my pharmacy career however recently I have been working in The Carteret Health Care Cancer Center Pharmacy. I enjoy doing many different things that our degree allows us to do and I love learning. I am skilled in collaborating with team members to expedite urgent requests while maintaining impeccable focus on safety, accuracy and confidentiality. Multitasking is a prerequisite for any pharmacy position and I work best under pressure. I believe my many years in retail pharmacy has proven that.

I enjoy working with all types of health care providers. I feel I am an advanced communicator with all levels of staff, clients, management and healthcare administrators. I have spent many years providing Medication Therapy Management to Medicare patients therefore I am well organized, a great documenter and know what needs to be done in order to have the best possible outcome for our patient while keeping costs down for insurance companies yet making money for the healthcare workers providing the service.
