It is considered the first advanced and modern nuclear medicine center in Iraq. The center contributes to covering medical services for cancer patients in central and southern Iraq. It's contains modern medical equipment in nuclear and positron imaging (PET/CT scan, SPECT/CT & DEXA scan), in addition to a modern on-site cyclotron for radioactive isotopes production. Most importantly, the center relies on international protocols in diagnostic imaging and Theranostic.

Nuclear Medicine Residency Jordan Medical council, Jordan/ January 2019-January 2023
I was admitted to the Jordan Medical Council in Nuclear Medicine (PGY1-PGY4) in the academic year January 2019-January 2023. Program director at KHCC: Dr Abram Al-Ibraheem. MD. FEBNM.

My NM residency program was a joint program between King Hussein Cancer Center and Jordan University Hospital, is a 4-year program.
The training program included:
- Radiation physics and instrumentation (for example; Imaging, Artifacts, Quality Control etc).
- Radiation biology and protection.
- Mathematics pertaining to the use and measurement of radioactivity.
- Preparation and labeling of different radiopharmaceuticals in Hot lab.
- Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.
- Patient Safety.
At the end of first year, I passed the 1st part of JBNM.
- PET/CT Imaging; Oncology (FDG PET/CT, PSMA, DOPA) Cardiology (myocardial viability)
- SPECT/CT Imaging; Bone, cardiac stress testing, renal, hepatobiliary etc.
- Radionuclide Therapy; I-131 for thyroid disease and thyroid cancer Lu-177 DOTATATE / PSMA
- Teaching / Presenting Clinical Cases
- Theranostics & Targeted Therapy
Patient selection, post-therapy imaging, personalized dosimetry.
At the end of Fourth year, I passed the 2nd part of JBNM.
