  • Doctoral Dissertation Research, The University of Memphis, Memphis, TN (5/96 - 8/97), This study assessed stimulus overselectivity and the long-term stability of affective expression in children with autism or Down syndrome.
  • Research Assistant, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN (9/94 - 08/97), Carried out data collection, statistical analyses, and manuscript preparation for pediatric oncology research studies. These studies have included pediatric pain management, use of coping strategies for emesis related to chemotherapy, cognitive and adaptive functioning in patients with brain tumors, and cognitive functioning in patients with sickle cell disease.
  • Master's Degree Research, The University of Memphis, Department (3/94 - 11/95), This study examined affective expression in 18 children with autism and 18 children with Down syndrome through use of ratings scales applied to videotaped play sessions.
