  • Documented and resolved improper revenue recognition which led to to achieve revenue recognition more effectively. I suggested a better accounting software. As soon as I suggested the software to my superiors, they reviewed and approved it. The training was conducted and I was asked to lead it. I was able to teach my colleagues how to use the software and they were able to understand the concept of revenue recognition better. The company was able to save time and money with the new software.

Philanthropy, Mentoring, and Teaching

The organization I'm working with is Bridge to Africa Connection, Inc. Every year, we travel to Africa to help less fortunate individuals. While there, I mentor 13 young girls and teach them self-care. In addition to mentoring young girls, I also teach in the schools in the surrounding villages of Ghana. I created a curriculum called Money and Business that I use in all schools. This curriculum teaches 5th and 6th graders various money management skills to help them become financially independent. Through this course, I hope to empower these young students to become entrepreneurs and have a better future.
