• Worked within several of the largest hospital systems in the U.S. including Jefferson Einstein, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, WakeMed, and Novant Health hospitals in cities including Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Raleigh, NC, and Wilmington, NC.
• Directly managed and lead comprehensive care across specialties including cardiovascular, pulmonary, medical, and surgical patients on inpatient units ranging between 22 to 48 beds.

Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

• Contributed to care for patients presenting with advanced heart failure, lethal cardiac arrhythmias, ACS/STEMIs/NSTEMIs, post cardiac arrest, ventilated and sedated patients, and cardiac support devices including intra-aortic balloon and Impella pumps.
• Maintained high standard of patient centered care in a high stress environment involving multiple medical disciplines and advanced medical technologies and interventions.
• As a skin care committee member, performed audits for surgical patients related to skin injuries and wound care while educating unit staff on new policies, supplies, and preventative interventions.

Cardiothoracic Surgical Stepdown

• Coordinated care for post-surgical patients who had surgical procedures involving the lungs, heart, esophagus, and vascular systems as well as devices including LVADs and pacemakers.
• Managed post-surgical complications and care including cardiac rhythm changes, drains, wound care, and acute decompensation in patient status while prioritizing patient safety.
• Lead and supervised unit staff as a charge nurse, utilizing delegation skills to ensure efficient task completion and managing concerns from both patient and nursing sides of care plan.
