Junior Golf Development

First Year Of JR. PGA At OLD LYME C.C. 2024

I had the privilege of serving as both a Coach and Organizer for an eighteen-person, six-week Summer Golf Program tailored for the junior members of the Old Lyme Country Club. Junior golfers demonstrated exceptional dedication and enthusiasm by consistently participating in organized practices and matches held every Tuesday and Thursday, despite the challenging summer heat.

The program involved traveling to various neighboring facilities for away matches and hosting matches at our home course. Our two teams, the "Birdies" and the "Eagles," each consisting of nine junior members, embodied the club's values of sportsmanship, etiquette, respect, and a passion for the game of golf, representing the Old Lyme Country Club with distinction throughout the season.

  • Arranged all logistics, including proficient schedule updates, progress notices, and coordination with parents, and neighboring facilities
  • Created positive environments for learning the game of golf that emphasized sportsmanship, and etiquette
  • Utilized a variety of training techniques, including drills, simulations, and match play, to improve performance from all players on all skill levels
