  • Designed and deployed interactive Shiny applications to deliver forecasts and financial analyses to executives and finance teams, enabling self-service exploration of ARR, churn, and renewal scenarios.
  • Automated Snowflake SQL pipelines and integrated dbt models, reducing manual reporting effort and increasing data accuracy for FP&A.
  • Developed Excel- and PDF-based forecast reporting workflows using openxlsx and Quarto, supporting both dynamic analysis and executive deliverables.
  • Applied time series and ML methods (Holt’s, Prophet, regression models) to generate confidence-bound forecasts for bookings and renewals.
  • Partnered with Finance leadership to translate data science outputs into actionable insights that supported revenue strategy and board-level reporting.

Founder/CCO

Alpha-Tech Investments
01.2021 - Current
  • This is a passion project of mine that allows me to stay up to date with the industry and continue to hone my financial skills.
  • Developed and optimized predictive models for price movements using Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, and other machine learning tools across multiple time frames (e.g., 5-minute, hourly, daily, monthly), achieving an average RMSE of 2.8 to 3.0. Responsibilities included data cleansing, cross-validation, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning.
  • Perform extensive quantitative analysis on historical market data.  Using various methods such as forecasting, regression, and ML prediction to provide investing opportunities that fit investors risk/reward tolerance.

Data Scientist

Arena Energy
04.2023 - 07.2024
  • Developed a bottomhole historical detection algorithm using Change Point Detection, implemented in R and Python. Visualized results within a custom Shiny application to enhance interpretability.
  • Created a Shiny application to compare historical production rates across fields with forecasted type curves, enabling accurate measurement of actuals against forecasts.
  • Designed a Shiny application to evaluate well work jobs, analyzing costs and comparing pre- and post-job BOEPD (Barrels of Oil Equivalent Per Day) to assess effectiveness.
  • Developed a Drilling Cost Dashboard to compare project costs (AFE vs. PFC vs. Booked) across regions, featuring drill-down capabilities to subaccount levels for detailed financial analysis.
  • Created an Operational Performance Dashboard to analyze total rig days, distinguishing between productive and non-productive times, with drill-down functionality into NPT (Non Productive Time) for each rig. Included time series plots to identify and analyze trends over time.
  • Developed an application to audit and analyze PowerBI and SSRS reporting environments, extracting metrics such as most recent access, user view count, top user, and last accessed, to optimize report utilization.

Data Scientist

Prescryptive Health, Inc.
06.2021 - 04.2023
  • Developed a Random Forest model to classify prescription day supply, quantity, and dosage for missing data points received via claims data, achieving 90% accuracy. This model was critical in re-pricing RFPs and improving prescription data accuracy, ultimately benefiting providers.
  • Created a Gradient Boosting model to predict prescription drug prices from claims submitted by patients. Deployed a custom-built Shiny Application for end-user consumption, allowing providers to efficiently access accurate pricing information for patient prescriptions.
  • Built a custom GEO location application using spatial data to find the nearest In-Network pharmacies for patient claims initially filled Out-of-Network. Collected, parsed, and analyzed data to provide optimal pharmacy solutions, enhancing both patient convenience and provider network efficiency.
  • Built a custom ETL data pipeline using Excel, Power Automate, SQL and Power BI, to drive sales and customer retention goals.
  • Performed statistical analysis including Linear/Multi Linear regression, Correlation/Covariance Matrices, Hypothesis Testing.
  • Collaborated with various teams to develop solutions to obtain desired data output by automating data collection processes and increasing data accuracy.
