Dr. Kari Rock

• Provide leadership and support for all ISD 728 middle and high schools serving approximately 8200 students
• Evaluate and supervise eight middle and high school principals by operating as an instructional leader and coach, providing managerial direction, and support

• Supported implementation of COVID-19 response at the elementary level
• Served as a liaison between the school district and the Minnesota Department of Education regarding policies and procedures related to state and federal programs
• Provided direct leadership and support during development of the specialty program at Hoover Elementary School for Biomedical, Health Sciences, and Engineering
• Led the implementation of Wonderworks, a reading intervention program aligned to Reading Wonders
• Led the implementation of Bridges intervention, a math intervention program aligned to our core mathematics curriculum, Bridges in Mathematics
• Provided ongoing professional development for educators in the area of classroom management and student behavior supports by leading a team of Catalyst trained coaches.
• Direct responsibility for Compensatory Revenue Pilot Grant which generates $4.73 million in funding each year from 2016-2018

Northdale Middle School (2015-2016)

• Instructional and data-based leadership resulting in significant student achievement increases
• Led the development of the Teacher on Special Assignment: RTI Lead role at the middle school level

Eisenhower Elementary (2010-2015)

• Designated a Reward School by the Minnesota Department of Education 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
• Achieved Catalyst Demonstration School status in the Fall of 2014, only the second school to earn this recognition in the country
• Collaborate with school staff to develop systems and structures resulting in significant increases to student achievement and decreases to student discipline referrals
• Led the Eisenhower School community through a school merger process during the 2010-2011 school year

Riverview Specialty School (2008-2010)

• Collaborated with staff and community members to facilitate the school closure process during the 2009-2010 school year
• Supported teachers with the integration of specialty school curriculum focusing on math and environmental science with the Anoka-Hennepin curriculum and the MN state standards

Peter Enich Kindergarten Center

• Supervised and evaluated teaching and support staff through instructional leadership and professional development.
