Visited schools, held meetings, and provided observational feedback to increase ELA success in classrooms district-wide.
• Disaggregated Virginia state testing (SOL) data to improve student test scores; increased SOL scores for those students that qualified and increased the school pass rates by 40%.
• Increased the pass rate of students on ESL/and Virginia State testing by over 50% district-wide by streamlining the alternative assessment process and assisting with the creation of appropriate new alternative assessments.
• Increased students test scores by 75% in levels ESL 1-5 for math and reading, making the school fully accredited.
• Served as a member of the School Leadership Team/Secondary Literacy Team.
• Wrote Science ESL Plans for the VDOE 6-12th Grade published Fall of 2022
• Directed and held numerous staff developments both school and countywide.
• Provided counseling to students on personal, educational, or vocational matters.
• Wrote and was awarded grants of $500 and $3,000 to increase book room inventory.
• Updated the School Improvement Plan for the 3-year plan and yearly update as required by the district; the plan was approved and implemented to increase test scores, reduce discipline referrals, and be more accountable for the 100% SPED population according to IDEA.
• Presented and implemented PBIS school-wide, which resulted in referrals for level three emotionally disturbed centers decreasing by 20% in the first year.
• Coordinated and supervised the Latino Culture Club, after school tutoring, and the Ping Pong Club.
