I am a hardworking and focused individual who loves learning and helping others. I am organized, efficient, smart, and very empathic and gentle. I'm never afraid to ask for help when I need it, as I am devoted to giving the best care I can to everybody I can give it to. I have always known that I wanted to work in the medical field, and I'm excited to have the chance to work in a hospital while I am beginning my journey in the nursing program at St. Scholastica.
I began working at Forest Lake Menards in April and transferred up to Hermantown in September when I began schooling at St. Scholastica. As a part-time sales associate in the hardware department, I learned a lot about how to help customers problem solve and how to help them find what they are looking for, even if they don't know exactly what that may be. On top of customer care, I learned many skills pertaining to computer use and the upkeeping of our department. Overall, I developed great people skills, quick thinking skills, and an appreciation for helping everybody I come across and cleaning up my space.
At Kohls, I would help customers find the items they needed, help check out their items on the cash register, kept my department clean and organized, and maximized sale opportunities every chance I got. This job began the development of my strong work ethic and my appreciation for helping people as best as I can.

I love to read, bake, watch movies, and have fun with the people closest to me! I have an addiction to Chipotle burrito bowls, Subway sandwiches, and Diet Coke. I have an almost 7 year old dog at home named Millie, and I hope to own a cat one day when I have my own place! My favorite color and scent is lavender. A fun fact about me is that my first and last name is the same forwards and backwards! Dru Hurd > dru HurD
