Hard working self starter looking for something a little different. I have held multiple roles in my 30 years of working in West Texas and have developed a lot of relationships in many different disciplines. I believe if given the opportunity to join the Lynn Elliott Team, although it will be different in many ways from the things I have done in the past, the skills developed over the years will allow me to be a productive member of the Team.

Work History

Senior Electrical Foreman

  • Currently supervise and assist 13 electricians to design, install, service and maintain all electrical systems for Hilcorp Energy from 138kv substations down to the lights in the bathroom. We cover an area of about 16,000 square miles and systems vary greatly in age and complexity. Consistently looking to optimize all electrical and mechanical systems to bring about the most value of the assets.

  • 2010: Applied for and was hired on with Apache to fill an Electrician II role for the Goldsmith Production Area. Duties were maintenance and installation of all electrical systems and equipment.
  • 2011: Opportunity arose to transfer to the Notrees Area supporting 2 Production Foreman Areas which had a significantly higher activity level. Same responsibilities with an area that was under development: 3 drilling rigs, multiple new facility builds and upgrades, 2 substation builds and a vast amount of larger electrical equipment. Great opportunity to expand knowledge base of my craft!!
  • 2013: A restructure of areas and reporting structure opened an opportunity to apply for an Electrical Foreman role. Interviewing alongside several other Apache Electricians, I was awarded the opportunity to assume the role as Southern Permian Electrical Foreman. As a team, myself and the electricians were able to establish some simple guidelines and open up communication between our areas to significantly reduce the amount of contract crews, utilize surplus equipment, and provide learning opportunities for those in areas with lower activity levels by getting them involved/helping out in other areas. The coverage area grew and offered an opportunity to spread our success into other areas.
  • 2017 - 2025: Promoted to Senior Electrical Foreman, along with a restructuring of the areas. My group grew once again, bringing new faces to the core group. Each time the number in our group grew, a new set of challenges always came with it: different production areas with different methods of artificial lift, different cultures and mind sets and usually a great opportunity to help the new individual to the group learn how to become more efficient and cost effective for the company.

  • 2007: I took an opportunity to apply with Arena Resources as a Lease Operator. They were a very active developer and were purchasing a lot of small independent operators in Western Andrews County. I began as an inexperienced lease operator and I took the advantage of being able to work extra on my own to learn the ropes in a position I hadn't had the opportunity in before. Was put over a smaller, low production route and quickly figured out what I didn't know.
  • After a few months, the Area Manager moved me to the 2nd largest producing route of his area opening up a whole different set of learning opportunities.
  • 2 years in, I was promoted to fluid tech which once again allowed for more learning and the ability to roam through all routes in the area helping out operators.
  • The positions with Arena allowed me to learn a significant amount about production equipment, which in turn taught me even more about electrical and controls.

  • 2006-2007: Owner of K&B called and made an offer I couldn't refuse for me to return and help out for a year.

  • Left K&B Electric to start up a Water Well Service Company with the owner. Learned a significant amount about rates, pressures, efficiencies and how to read pump curves, which continues to serve me well when troubleshooting/sizing pump installations or issues.

  • 1996-2003: Began working at this smaller electrical contract company through a work release program in high school helping out in the motor shop breaking down motors and helping the motor winder make various repairs. I was eager to learn and advance and took every opportunity to jump in with an Electrician or Line Crew and in a few years became one out of three rotating weekend calls for the company.

  • Seems kind of silly to put on a resume but both Grandfathers owned their own Oil Field Service companies, therefore I have been in this industry in multiple facets all of my life.
