In addition to enforcing laws and public safety demands, I am responsible for supervising my assigned shift. The Patrolmen that work for me report to me with their concerns, and in turn, I am responsible for keeping them accountable for their actions. Some of these actions require discipline, whether it be verbal, or written. I am also required to be knowledgeable about past shifts events, who is taking vacation in the future (for adequate coverage), and what is occurring at all times on the shift. Assigned to the Crime Suppression and Narcotics Unit in September 2021. From August 2017 until September 2021, I was assigned as the Sergeant/Shift Commander for patrol.
