Dustin Hurt

Jeffersonville,KY

Summary

My name is Dustin Hurt and I am a 38 year old dad of five great children. To say that i am a patient person is an understatement because these kids pushing my everyday life outside of work to 1000 MPH is something that i have gotten used to. What comes with that is this ability to not only move at a fast pace when needed but also the ability to slow things down and be patient while teaching patience to my kids. God, Family and Work are my top passions in life. With almost 18 years of carpentry experience i have started, completed and been a part of over 100 different projects. I always pushed myself to get the training and experience to further my knowledge in commercial construction industry. I have also been involved in my community in different ways. I am currently one of four of the City of Jeffersonville City Commissioners always looking for ways to improve our community and improving the quality of life in our tight knit community. I have been a volunteer coach for MCYB (Montgomery County Youth Basketball) since 2016 which further points to my love for teaching the youth that I am surrounded by

One of the other things in life I enjoy most is having the opportunity to teach and train the upcoming Carpenter generation job after job. Not only young men and women just entering the workforce but older men and women that have decided that Carpentry is the direction they want to take. It has always been a personal goal of mine to be an instructor for the UBC. I have waited for an opportunity like this for quite some time. I take pride in my work ethic, accountability and dependability. Learning to adjust with my generation, the generations before me and the generations after me have always come easy to me when it comes to understanding the everyday changing environment and the world.

I would count it an honor to be considered for this job opening and look very much forward to meeting and hopefully joining this team of teaching the future of Carpentry!

Thank You,

Dustin Ryan Hurt
