DUSTINA HAASE-LANIER

Vancouver,WA

Summary

Recognizing that racism, sexism, homophobia, and most oppression is rooted in colonization, white supremacy, and the subjugation of anyone who falls outside the mythical “norm” has been the lightning rod for most of Dustina’s career. These truths have inspired Dustina to first work to empower her own people: as an Alaskan Native (Tsimshian), as a Survivor and a Queer Women, with a Disability. Macro-change-oriented and strategic-thinking professional with several years of experience in networking, cultivating partnerships, and building relationships. Multi-tasking and self-motivated leader with expertise in expanding network connections, implementing training models, and big-picture management skills.

Dustina is an agent for change; in collaboration with other disenfranchised people, working together to train, educate, create opportunities for change, and secure seats at the table. Dustina works toward a more equitable world where oppression and social injustice no longer exist. It is her life's work to confront oppression and historic trauma, learn from the resilience of her elders, and bring others along on the path to equity.
