Additional Information
Attended Blount County Training Academy in August 2020 until I was medically dismissed due to an injury that was sustained in the field on week 7. I was invited back to complete my training within 12 months, but due to Covid and getting surgery scheduled I was not cleared to return to duty until August 2021. I also was unable to return to academy due to Livingston Police Department not having a light duty solution to keep me employed during the wait time for surgery. I have had 3 surgeries since medical leave and physical therapy which has gotten me in better shape than I have ever been and cleared medically to take on any challenge thrown my way. I do not quit what I start and was infuriated to have to be medical out of the academy as all I have ever wanted to do or be is a police officer and it slipped out of my grip due to an unforeseen injury. But set backs can make the greatest comebacks and here I am ready to go and over 120 lbs lighter and significantly stronger. I will do whatever is asked of me and will not lose another opportunity to be successful.
