Summary

I have a long history of working in public safety. I Currently reside in Queen Anne's County where there is an opening on the School Board in my district. I am a firm believer that children should get a proper education from qualified educators and both staff and children should have a safe environment. I also believe that politics should never play a roll in education or safety.

Schools should also have a well balanced budget and not just spend money frivolously. I am currently the President of my homeowners association as well as the President of my union and have been able to save money year after year on a well balanced budget, while not sacrificing quality.

With My Fire Department & Corrections Background I feel I have something new to bring for safety in schools. Also being an elected Union President and representing an extremely diverse workforce I believe I would have a better understanding of employee and community concerns within the school system. I am also the president of my HOA and have a strong support of my community and understand the importance of certain positions and how they need to be sometimes delicately handled.

I also have 2 children. A 7 Year old that's currently in Queen Annes County Pubic Schools and a 3 year old that will attend when eligible, So I have a vested interest in the school system.

Supervisor

Six Maritime
05.2024 - Current

Supervisor (Six Maritime) of Port of San Diego Cruise Ship Terminal work site. While working at this site, I ensure that all personnel comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations presented in the Six Maritime Employee Handbook and the Six Maritime SOP. Due to on going threat profile in our country, heightened terrorist activity, and continued scrutiny of security operations at ports by both government agencies and the media, I manage standards of performance at this work site to mantain the highest level of security. This standard of excellence is dictated not only by Six Maritime Security but also to meet federal guide lines presented in 33 CFR Part 105, and the Facility Security Plan. Due to the unique location and requirements of this work site, in combination with the volume of people Six Maritime Security personnel encounter, policies and regulations are more stringent than at other sites.
