-Surface Rescue Swimmer:
- Earned and maintained a high level of fitness and medical performances to be readily capable in the event of a man overboard. Be available to execute maritime operations, such as seizing cargo, transferring personnel safely, and parts transfer.
-Maintenance:
-Lubricated machinery, equipment or engine parts.
- Performed over 300 hours of corrective maintenance to ensure ships equipment functions properly.
-Evolutions:
-Lowered and manned lifeboats during emergencies.
- Spent over 200 hours earning qualifications. As well as conducting/developing new tactics, and strategies while performing dangerous, high stress evolutions such as man overboards, replenishment at sea, small boat operations, helicopter operations, and sea and anchors.
-Medical training team:
- Achieved multiple qualifications upon obtaining a position on the medical training team, to teach, maintain, and lead others in their proficiency in first aid, and triage.
-Fire fighting:
- Assumed the position of nozzleman and was required to learn basic fire fighting skills. Learned how to differentiate multiple the types of fires, and how to fight a fire casualty.
-Boatswains Mate of the watch:
-A boatswains mate of the watch is a versatile watch position, they are to take charge of the watch team, demonstrate proper use of the announcement system, identify the different casualties and call away the correct verbiage/team to respond. Maintain organization skills. And Identify various types of flags and their meanings.
-Helmsman/Lee helmsman:
- Helmsman/lee helmsman are required to strategically maneuver the ship to steer the ordered course given. While simultaneously conducting speed changes the helmsman is one of the most important positions apart of the watch team, and requires quick motor skills, focus, immediate response time, and the ability to multitask.
