- This is my first construction job. I joined because the thought of being 5 stories high was exciting. That having be my job sounded and looked awesome. Being an Iron Worker involves me rigging steel to be connected to shape the skeleton of the building. There is also welding involved and being able to operate equipment. Working in at least a 4 man crew I've learned to take criticism and learn as I go.
