Driver-specific responsibilities

• Operation of varying styles and sizes of box trucks (up to 26 ft).
• Operation of Event Rental Systems Application during the workday.
• Assignment of tasks on jobsite if not otherwise directed.
• Coordinating with customers on-site about any questions, changes, or additions.

Responsible for:

• Coordinating with staff early in the shift to ensure a seamless loading process.
• Picking and packaging of the product.
• Loading products to ensure optimal efficiency for the delivery driver.
• Adding delivered materials to inventory.
• Using forklifts and scissor lifts to pick and inventory products.
• Using various power tools and various types of saws to cut products into specific sizes.

*Took over as shift supervisor for 6 months due to sudden loss of former supervisor*

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Routing of 4 to 6 delivery trucks for the next day, ranging from 8 to 15 stops each.
• Assigning tasks for 3rd shift employees nightly.
• Coordinating with the 1st shift about any implementations or concerns regarding the loading process.
• Coordinating with returning drivers with vendor pickups.
• Ensuring all power tools, scissor lifts, forklifts and inventory tools are stored properly and charged for the next day after use.
• Ensuring the warehouse is clean and ready for the 1st shift before leaving.
• Ensuring all trucks and warehouse doors are locked securly.

• Operating a 26 ft box truck in compliance with all DOT regulations in RI, MA, CT, NH, NY and ME.
• Daily truck preventative maintenance check (fluids, lights, box door bolts, and rivets, etc.).
• Safe transportation and delivery of the product to the customer.
• Providing ETAs and communicating with customers and the home office in between stops.
• Cleaning of the truck's cab and box.
