As a dedicated, passionate educator for the past 8 years, my first 4 years as a teaching assistant at Midland Park Jr./Sr. HS and currently in District 12 in the Bronx, NY, my experience crosses age groups, grades and student abilities.
My philosophy of education is that all students, regardless of disability, identity, or socioeconomic status deserve a high quality, rigorous education, as well as a safe and inclusive environment in which to learn. Teachers should not just lead the classroom, but support and nurture students' strengths, so that they may become leaders themselves.
I hold every student to high standards and encourage them to hold themselves to the highest standards, so that my students may reach their fullest potential. To do so, I believe it is crucial to provide students with the tools and motivation to become shareholders in their own educational process.
