• Rotation 1: Fraser Manufacturing Facility.

- Project lead for improvement of an automated shot blast operation with inline gaging. Increased productivity from 300 parts per shift (pps) to 1,100 pps on average.

- Performed robot touch-ups for bin pick operations.

- Implemented new protocol for die tracking and management of a coining operation.

- Revised and improved engineering drawings.

• Rotation 2: Corporate Machining and Automation.

- Mechanical engineering and project lead for an automation project in the AAM Ridgway Facility. Tasks include project design, program management, equipment purchasing, and installation.

- Created and implemented an operator training program for CNC lathes, utilizing ToolingU.

- Managed spare parts ordering and tracking for new equipment launches.

- Assisted in new machine launch/setup.

- Assisted in machine inquiries and purchasing. Tasks include sourcing, creating scopes of work, creating technical evaluations, and managing supplier progress.

• Rotation 3: Oxford Manufacturing Facility.

- Project lead for an automated tool change process/implementation. Tasks include project design, testing, robot programming, wiring, and integration.

- Assisted in forging press changeovers.

- Managed the disposal and addition of a tool room saw. Included plant floor organization to improve utilization of space.

- Tool redesign and engineering drawing improvements.

• Rotation 4: Corporate Forging (July 2024 - Current)

- Managing the acquisition of a rust-preventative machine for a new program launch. Tasks include sourcing, creating scope of works, creating technical evaluations, and managing supplier progress.

- Assisting in an improvement project of a forge press operation in an AAM plant located in Mexico.

- Managing an idle asset project, moving a billet cutting saw from one AAM plant to another. Tasks include coordination, creating scopes of work, creating technical evaluations, and supplier management.

- Trained in Deform with intent to assist in future forge process design projects.

- Attended FIA events to further forge knowledge.

• Repaired and tested wires/cables used for product testing.
• Assisted technicians in dynamometer setup for product testing.
• Worked as a test engineer, collecting data on new electric products (motors and EDUs). Testing was performed on dynamometers.
• Completed welding project to increase MIG-welding skills.
• Attended Inventor training to improve CAD knowledge.
• Performed strain gauge soldering and placement for data collection.

• Assisted with automated liquor dispenser project.
• Assisted in the design of an automated pizzabot that created a finished pizza from dough to plate.
• Mechanical engineering and project lead for an automated filter change tracking device for coffee machines. The goal was to create a device that could monitor water flow through a filter and send an email to the supplier to ensure the filter is changed. Project successfully completed during internship.
