I assembled infectious disease testing devices on an assembly line with 4 peers and a team lead. My responsibilities included maintaining a clean room environment, aiding the team lead by vacuum sealing sterile products, setting up product batches for team assembly, moving sealed products to appropriate departments and ensuring products are kept to the rigorous FDA/WHO standards of medical devices. Sterilized workspace between product batches. I conducted metrology on medical device samples to ensure the product is kept to guideline standards.
I worked with Thermoforming plastics machinery; ensuring the machine's internal temperature remains consistent, properly forming to the mold and no scuffs or marks damaging the product's UV coating. I operated drills, hand routers, electric sanders, bandsaws and table saws. I cleaned, packaged and plastic wrapped our product and set it to the appropriate space for shipping and receiving. I kept the workspace clean and gave proper maintenance to all tools used.
I trained and lead a team of 7 Machine Operators as the Shift Lead during graveyard shift from 11pm to 7am. I poured and injected resin powder into rotational molds. Started, stopped, monitored and modified heavy machinery including rotational injection ovens and an abrasive blasting cabinet. Worked with impact drivers, air hoses, blowtorches and mold scrapers. Completed quality checks and packaged and stored products. Closed workshop at the end of shift, ensuring the shop was clean and all tools stored away properly.
