Results-driven Assembly Technician III with Caterpillar, Inc., skilled in mechanical assembly and leadership. Expert in utilizing pneumatic tools and blueprints to enhance production line efficiency. Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize assembly processes while fostering teamwork and maintaining safety standards. Recognized for effectively salvaging components and improving operational workflows.
Followed 5S principles and basic house keeping. Followed MES work instruction to sub-assemble Engine Heads and installed them onto engines, Used pneumatic Torque guns to torque bolts to specifications. Used metric and standard wrenches and sockets to assemble. Sub-assembled turbos, fuel and injection systems, air intake manifolds. Installed fuel pumps, fuel filters, air manifolds, turbos, wiring harnesses, crank shafts, front and rear housings, fly wheels, and dampers to engines using blueprints and MES instructions. Ran oil test and air tests as well. Used hoist and signed off hoist check lists daily.
Used MES instruction to break down engines and remove salvageable components. Used pneumatic torque guns, drills, wrenches, sockets, and saws. Used lists that were in MES that listed key parts to inspect to determine if they were damaged. Kept a log of how many parts were removed, how many were salvaged, and how many were scrapped. Used hoists, cranes, and pallet jacks to move parts to designated areas. Practiced 5S methods and general housekeeping rules daily. Wore daily PPE. Master Disassembler was a leadership role.
