Howdy! My name is Dylan Ton and through out the years, I have worked a number of jobs that helped build my experience and skill set. Aside from the jobs listed below, I've worked with numerous of people for weekend side jobs involving constructing and handy work that have also taught me many unique skills.
As a Student Bus driver working with A&M Transportation Services, my job was to transport passengers safely along prescribed routes according to tight schedules to campus. I have extensive knowledge in how city transportation works, operating a plethora of large vehicles and maintaining calm during stressful situations. Along with being a student driver, I'm also a student trainer and I help train students once they get their CDL. Skills I acquired from working with A&M Transportation Services is patience, time management, communication and defensive driving.
As a marching band technician, I would give helpful feedback to students that would need assistance. I handled the one on one with students while the director worked with the entire ensemble. I specialized in drums so I would also help maintain the drums with the hardware and the way they sound. This job helped develop my communication, leadership and teaching skills, while giving me a sense of teamwork.
As a merchandiser working at Lowes, I would be on the floor keeping the shelves full of products and making them look clean cut. While maintaining our products, I would regularly help customers find items that would assist them in their home project. Here at Lowes, I learned extensive safety procedures, how to operate warehousing equipment, organization skills, and customer service.
Working at Premium Cabinets, I was in the back of the warehouse building cabinets and making delivery's. During delivery's, I would interact with customers making sure all their needs were met with the best customer service I could provide. Working in a warehouse building cabinets taught me safety procedures using power tools such as saws, drills and nail guns.
