Current college student at UC Irvine, musician, band leader, and event manager. My life at school and outside of it has constantly been exercising leadership and team management skills. I am a leader, musician, entertainer, student, scout, and teammate. My experiences have honed proficiency in leadership, precision and detail attentiveness, communication efficiency, and an affable conversational presence.
Leader and Manager of a biweekly jam session open to all musicians and audience members. Worked with the Chair of the Music Department to apply for sound permits, as well as booking and operating the venue space. Also I lead and host a "house band" comprising of collegiate and professional musicians that opens the session with a setlist that I curate.
Band Leader and Manager for my own jazz combo, The Bugs Quintet. Comprising of collegiate musicians, I am in charge of booking and managing performances, rehearsals and rehearsal space, setlists and original music, and financial disbursements to band members. The band has been employed to play music for events for the Associated Students of UC Irvine organization, and is scheduled to host the "College Night" at the Atomic Ballroom in Irvine.
Since 2019, I have taught private music lessons to a wide range of ages from 4th graders to college students. I teach two instruments, drumset and trombone. These lessons have allowed me to exercise how to instruct and convey ideas in multiple ways that children can learn. Also they have helped me develop personable skills as well as how to make a learning environment entertaining while being effective.
For four years, I was my scout troop's quartermaster, meaning that I was in charge of the troop's camping, cooking, sporting, and all other gear that the troop owned. I oversaw two gear sheds filled with backpacks, tents, cooking gears etc. and I was responsible for inventory management, restocks, checking gear out to members, returns, and repairing damaged gear.
