Government project responsibilities

- Pathway, pull,terminate, test

-Core concrete walls with drill to create pathways

-Install boxes/conduits on walls

-Bend PVC & EMT pipe

-Run/pull cables through pathway

-Terminate 22gauge jumper cables

- Neatly dress and label cables

Drop crew resposibilites

-Arrive at customers house making sure to contact them before arriving to confirm access to property.

- locate network interface device and begin rodding underground conduit to run fiber optic cables from customers house to Hawaiian Telecom boxes on streetside.

-If rodder was not able to make it through to Hawaiian Telcom box then it would get refered to "stuck"/repair crew.

Responsibilities on the stuck crew would be to

-operate generator and pressure washer to try and clear underground conduit of debris such as concrete, mud etc.

- Asses blueprints to try and create a solution for the blockage.

-if unable to create a solution then we would have to make a stuck report and create drawings in order for supervisors to close out the ticket.

Responsibilities on the repair crew consisted of

- Create trenching with handled tools complying with all safety standards

- Install underground conduit on customer property ensuring quality work

-Construct pathway to run fiber optic cable.

  • Place/remove cones in front of vehicle racks to communicate with forklift operator to let them know when vehicle is ready to be taken off rack or if a new vehicle is ready to be put on
  • Operate handheld equipment such as a metal cutter to remove catalytic converter from underneath the vehicle
  • Place catalytic converter in correct bin
  • Spray paint a yellow or red X on the doors of the vehicle so that forklift drivers know where to place the vehicle after everything is done
  • Mark the catalytic converter on the list to make sure everything is accounted for and nothing gets stolen/misplaced
  • Remove oil screw and carefully place oil drain pan underneath the vehicle
  • Place gas pump/drill underneath appropriate areas in order to drain the gas from vehicle making sure not to create any spillage
  • Be sure to stay clear of forklift operator at all times to keep work environment safe
  • Attach a pump on top of a cart which is used to drain A/C and coolants from the engine bay
  • Remove car battery if needed
  • Look through car to be sure that there is nothing that would cause an explosion when car gets sent to the crusher
