- Competent technician. FCA1 took direct responsibility for ER09 and coordinated over 2,904 man-hours for seventeen personnel, resulting in the upkeep and readiness of 1,711 pieces of damage control equipment, ensuring USS HIGBEE's damage control readiness before and during deployment. Oversaw the procurement of $3,000,000 worth of parts, the installation of 19 repair parts, and 93 hours of alignment for the SPY RADAR Transmitter Equipment Group. Leading to the repair of six Category 3 CASREPS, which allowed USS HIGBEE to continue to perform its duties in the seventh and fifth fleets.

Tenacious work ethic. FCA1 tirelessly worked with tech reps and led four personnel during scheduled maintenance for a total of 203 man-hours of troubleshooting to correct 15 minor repairs and replace 17 pieces of equipment, while conducting 151 preventative maintenance tasks for 179 man-hours, leading to the result of making the SPY Honor Roll for the fleet five times this year while not in a ship's availability period, ensuring USS HIGBEE’s material readiness during its deployment.

- Mission driven. As a Radar System Controller watch stander, he diligently stood 374 watches for over 928 hours during HIGBEE’s maiden deployment, ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the SPY-1D(V) radar system in a high-operational tempo environment. FCA1 demonstrated exceptional vigilance and professionalism, maintaining an exceptional air picture for the Straits of Hormuz and Strait of Malacca transits.
