• Oversee day-to-day safety operations for concrete crews while coordinating with other subcontractors to ensure work activities are performed safely in shared and active work areas.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, field supervision, and crews to identify potential conflicts between ongoing tasks and establish safe work practices before work begins.
• Coordinate with project management and office leadership to communicate safety concerns, provide updates on field issues, and develop effective resolutions.
• Proactively identify potential safety issues and coordinate with field and management teams to implement preventive measures before incidents occur.
• Conduct routine jobsite inspections to identify hazards, address unsafe conditions, and reinforce compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Work closely with foremen and field leadership to plan work activities, evaluate job hazards, and implement practical controls that allow crews to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and field discussions to communicate hazards, expectations, and changes in site conditions.
• Monitor crew activities throughout the workday and intervene when necessary to correct unsafe practices or changing jobsite conditions.
• Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, safety documentation, and follow-up to help prevent recurrence.
