I receive routine and emergency telephone calls and personal calls for assistance concerning crimes/fire/medical/animal control or general information. Operate equipment to maintain contact with Law Enforcement personnel and other Law Enforcement Agencies. Dispatch officers for calls for service; receive, interpret, and transmit messages within FCIC/NCIC databases and perform requests associated with (DAVID) State of Florida Driver and Vehicle Information Database while maintaining knowledge and latest policies and procedures for (CJIS) Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policies. Work hand in hand with Social Service Agencies and maintain training for Emergency and Disaster Preparedness. Maintains in-house communication logs and reports. Provide quality Customer Service and disseminate information both by phone and in person. Prepare documents for correspondence for executives and Law Enforcement, court documents, and files for discovery; coordinated and distributed work assignments, photocopy and conduct data entry and clerical functions both electronically and by paper. Participate on Interview Boards for selecting employees; Assist with the direct Supervision of the Communications Center and report directly to Supervisors. Creating and implementing records/filing system specific to Communications Center and according to Policies and Procedures within the VA Police Department. Conduct inventories and perform equipment checks for maintenance as needed. Make sure all records and equipment are prepared for audit as directed by supervision. Operate Security Surveillance Television(SSTV) and CCTV systems and perform operational maintenance when needed. Report changes and updates with employees and scheduling when needed. Communicate directly with Department Heads and Specialty area Service Chiefs when needed as applies to the Communication Center. Personally responsible for the updating and maintenance of the Telephone Operator Suite Software. Work closely with Radio System Contractors to ensure proper updates and processes are in operation for the Motorola MCC 750 Elite Dispatch Console Software, and other systems pertaining to Dispatch/Radio Communications.

Operates equipment to maintain contact with law enforcement personnel and other law enforcement
units; Dispatch deputies to answer requests for assistance; Receives and transmits information and messages. Dispatch to fire departments, rescue squads, police departments, social services, wrecker services, Red Cross, highway patrol, and emergency management personnel. Maintain computer database and communications logs and reports. Provide customer service and information on
to the public as requested both on the phone and in person. Conduct searches on the CJIS Network using FCIC/NCIC terminal as requested for Law Enforcement, DAVID, and other Law Enforcement systems.
