Responsible for planning, reliability and condition monitoring for Process Plant Concentrator, Sag and Ball mills and Autoclave Equipment. Refinery Area. Development of critical spares list working with FLS, Metso, Outotec, Weir. Development of standard job tasks and SOP’s and KPI’s, MTTR, MTBF, MTBS Maintenance of a 4000 TPD Oxygen Plant. 3 Qyt, 22,000 hp Main Air Compressors and 2 Qyt 14,500 hp Booster Air Compressor. 4 Autoclave’s with a through put of 250TPH and 485 PSI each.
• Iskueteu - ABB (Joint Venture), Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor (Voisey’s Bay Mine Site), 04/2005, 01/2011, Running the day to day activities of the Vale Inco Maintenance Department. Ensuring all corrective and breakdown work order are scheduled and completed on a timely basis while ensuring all Environmental Heath and Safety Procedures are followed. Responsible for maintenance of the following areas in a remote, cold weather work site with a multi-cultural, multi-union workforce Mill/Concentrator/Crusher, Sag and Ball Mills, Flotation circuits, Reagents, Thickeners. Press Filters Water/Sewage Treatment Plants Power generation (Cat 3600 generators producing 4.12 MW with 6 in total) Port/Airport facility. Accommodation and outside services buildings.
• Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR), Various Roles, 2000, 04/2005, Terra Nova Construction Lead Provided construction support and managed KBR’s offshore modification team aboard the Terra Nova FPSO. This role included managing the KBR personnel and sub-contractor’s ensuring the workscope was delivered safely and as per work plan. June 2003 – September 2003 – Terra Nova Turnaround Coordinator Construction Coordinator for Terra Nova Turnaround 2003, providing construction support, offshore labour and onshore fabrication support. September 2002 – May 2003 – Construction Coordinator Provided construction support and management to the offshore modification team aboard the Terra Nova FPSO. Ensuring quality of workpacks and conducting regular trips offshore to perform construability reviews. This role included managing KBR’s plant and equipment budget, onshore fabrication, and acting as Project Manager on construction based work orders from Clients. Operation and Maintenance Co-ordination, this includes supporting clients in maintenance driven projects. June 2002 – September 2002 – Terra Nova Turnaround Coordinator Shutdown Coordinator for the 2002 Terra Nova Maintenance Shutdown. This included developing a shutdown schedule, organizing the necessary resources including trades people and onshore resources. Fabrication, Vessel Inspections, NDE requirements and Vendor Coordination. Development of construction methods in a safe and practical manner in an effort to reduce manhour requirements including leak testing procedures, bolt tensioning and on-track start-up. Provided support to Terra Nova during shutdown and start-up of the FPSO, and reconciliation of payments for material, tools and third party work task orders. 2001 – June 2002 – Piping and Mechanical Implementation Responsible for the piping and mechanical implementation for the Terra Nova Offshore Project. First oil start-up and fabrication site co-ordination for EPC contract. This position included the smooth transition from onshore commissioning to offshore hook-up and supporting the first oil milestone. Ensured onshore fabrication coordination, material requisitioning and completion of project work packages. Development of Duplex, Super Duplex, CuNi, 6Mo, Titanium, A333 low temp carbon steel welding procedures. Reviewed projects for construability and performed safety assessments as required. 2000 – 2001 – Piping and Mechanical Implementation Responsible for the piping and mechanical implementation for the Hibernia Offshore project. Ensured onshore fabrication coordination, material requisitioning and completion of project work packages project estimates. Flowline fabrication of Duplex, Super Duplex, low temp carbon steel Reviewed projects for construability and safety assessments as required.
• AMEC/Agra Monenco, Various Roles, 1998, 2000, 1999 – 2000 – Construction Supervisor/Field Supervisor Construction Supervisor and Inspector for shut down of the heating plant for modifications to piping, asbestos removal, NDE testing for the Iron Ore Company of Canada. Managed several sub-contractors on behalf of the client, ensure all contract administration was complete and all clients safety policies where adhered. Town of Hopedale Water and Sewer Project, daily planning and reporting of work progress to Project Manager. Ensure all scope changes and engineering query’s were issued and responded. Close out of punch list items and contract administration. 1998 – 1999 – Site Inspector/ Field Engineer Completed site inspections, air quality studies and asbestos abatement programs to ensure proper safety regulation and contracts administration for various projects including: Health Care Corporation of St. John’s Energy Performance Contract with Honeywell Ltd. New Boiler Installation Memorial University Annex, St John’s NL. Northwest Atlantic Fisheries HVAC Study. Avalon East School Board Energy Retro-fit program.
