Projects

  • Insect Inspired Robot - Designed, 3D printed, and programmed a robot with 3 pairs of legs connected to each other with flexible tubing to allow the body to bend as it walked. Utilized an Arduino microcontroller and servo motors to create walking gaits.
  • LabVIEW Checkers - Used LabVIEW to create a program that would allow a human user to play a game of checkers against a robotic arm. A camera positioned above the game board would read the movement that the player would make, and then control a robotic arm that would then move its own pieces in response.
  • Baxter Chess - Utilized the Baxter industrial robot to play a game of chess against a human opponent. Using ROS and Python, Baxter would take an image of the board to read the movement that the player had made, and then use its hand to move a piece in response.
