Honors in Action 2025
Each year, the San Antonio College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the community college honors society, conducts a campus-wide research project. This year’s theme, The Power of Story, explores the impact of narratives in various contexts. While our research is still in its early stages, we are actively collaborating with other departments to align our efforts and develop a cohesive action plan.
During my time with LEE Campus Press, I contributed to three major projects, starting as a photographer and eventually becoming the Photo Editor. In this role, I mentored students and curated the final selection of images for publication.
In my final year, I served as Editor-in-Chief, where I led class discussions, guided and collaborated with other editors, and had the final say on content selection and page approvals. My leadership helped shape the publication’s vision and ensured a polished final product.
Delegate & Volunteer
Served as a delegate for Venezuela at MUNSA, the largest student-led Model UN conference for high school students in the country. Conducted in-depth research on Venezuela’s stance regarding key global issues, including drug trafficking, piracy, and maritime law enforcement, to ensure an accurate and effective representation. Collaborated with fellow delegates to develop strategic proposals addressing these challenges.
Continued involvement in MUNSA for two additional years as a volunteer, assisting in event operations and ensuring the conference ran smoothly.
