I attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from September 2020 to December 2024. During my time at UWW, I was placed in two sixth-grade classrooms for my required fieldwork at Nature Hill Intermediate School in Oconomowoc, WI. I was also placed in a special education classroom at Genesee Lake School in Oconomowoc, WI, working with high-school-aged students. While in these field placements, I had the opportunity to work with both general and special education students. I also had the opportunity to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Riverside Middle School in Watertown, WI. After working as a paraprofessional, I was placed at the same school for my student teaching semester for the fall 2024 semester. After my student teaching placement, I was hired on at the same school as a long-term substitute for 7th & 6th grade special education. My role in 7th grade went from late January 2025 through mid-March 2025. Finally, my role in 6th grade went from late March 2025 to late April 2025.
I was employed at University Lake School as an After-School Program Coordinator. For this role I was in charge of 15-25 students at the after-school program “Stay and Play”. I also worked the winter, spring, and summer camps that ULS offered.
