A Home Health Aide (HHA) provides assistance with daily living activities, personal care, light housekeeping, and emotional support to patients in their homes.
Main duties:
- Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Help with toileting and incontinence care
- Prepare simple meals and help with feeding
- Remind clients to take medications (no administering)
- Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, dishes)
- Help with mobility (walking, transferring, wheelchair)
- Monitor and report
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and safety rules
