During my time with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C, I have constantly shown a desire to continue to work hard, learn, and exceed expectation all while respecting the rights, liberties, and freedoms of the citizens I serve, doing all with minimal supervision. At MPD, I have received various training which helped shape me into the excellent police officer I am today. As a patrol officer, I had the privilege of serving my community and assisting those in need with a smile, respect, and integrity. I grew as an officer to find my niche in recovering illegal firearms and narcotics. So much so, that I was re-assigned from being a patrol officer to the Crime Suppression Team which soley focuses on illegal firearm and narcotics interdiction. As a member of this unit I have learned valuable lessons in safely and effectively combatting violent crime.
