  • At UPS I would work shifts as early as 4am that ended at around 8am or even later depending on the load for the day and the amount of trucks I would be loading
  • I loaded 2 trucks at a time my first week of handling packages and how it would go is there would be different sized and weighted boxes on an assembly line constantly approaching you while having to load the boxes in the certain trucks and desired numerical order on the shelfs in the UPS trucks
  • I ended up getting Covid during my first 30 days of working there and was let go due to me not being able to be there from Covid.

Pool Technician

City of La Porte

  • Working for the city of La Porte was by far my favorite job I have ever worked, it was a seasonal job for the summer cleaning the 4 main pools all around the city with my assigned partner for the summer who ended up being one of my best buds
  • This job included carrying several 100lb buckets of Pulsar in the back of our Ford Ranger city truck from the Recreation center to the rest of the pools
  • We would refill the chlorine at each pool, vacuum, leaf rake, skim, brush and clean the skimmers
  • We were also in charge of backwashing the pools, cleaning the disconnect rooms, and checking the ph balance and Chlorine levels of the pools.

Cart Pusher

  • At Walmart I would have the simple responsibility of bringing all of the carts in each isle back up to the store for the customers to have a cart to shop
  • It was a very simple job, yet intense at times
  • Depending the day and time of the day, that would determine how fast paced I would have to work to make sure there are enough carts at the store
  • I would use the mule and pull 20+ carts at a time back to either the grocery side of the store, or the GM side.

Busser

  • As a busser working at Jimmy Changas, this being my first job was very intense and a great experience overall
  • Responsibilities here I would have would be to bus all the tables in my section of the restaurant, refill the chips in the chip machines, debuss my tub at the debussing station (plates, cups, silverware, towels, chips, chip baskets, etc) and I would also have to mop or sweep any messes clean throughout the restaurant
  • Poor salsa into the containers that usually end up being 50lbs max in large tubs of salsa
  • At the end of our shift for the day, I would have to clean my assigned station for the night from the head busser's instructions.
