I started out as a server and barista, taking orders, prepping coffees, and balancing the cash drawer. I would also take orders and deal with customers over the phone. I eventually moved into the kitchen as a sous chef, still continuing my responsibilities from before, but also working in the kitchen when needed. After a while, I took over as head chef and kitchen manager. I dealt with prepping and making food for customers and catering, and I helped with making cakes. I would also constantly check inventory and help manage the stock of the kitchen. I would work in the kitchen, but I would also deal with customers on a regular basis.
I started off as a cashier, helping customers check out and find items they needed. I also helped with stocking the front registers, and I helped my head cashiers manage inventory. One of my greatest strengths while working at Lowe's was the ability to get credit card applications and good customer surveys about my customer service, my highest score being six in one day, and 15 in a week. I would be sent out on a daily basis to walk the store and assist customers with anything they needed, while also selling Lowe's credit cards. I learned how to sell credit cards, appliances, and also help out at the customer service desk. Working at Lowe's gave me the opportunity to practice and hone my skills in customer service.
