Throughout my life, I've held many jobs that had a high prevalence of customer service, starting at my local deli when I was 14. Since then, I have tried to always find the best spot that helps me capitalize on my strengths.   • At this restaurant, I used all the tools I learned at Grato in an environment where how much I made was strictly up to me.
  • This restaurant is not tip pool and I usually only get a 3 table section due to the large number of servers we have on at any given night. Making flipping your tables the only way to make money.
  • Team work isn't prioritized the same here as Grato but I still run food, grab trays, fill glasses from dish pit, amongst other tasks even if they weren't my side work to make sure the night goes as smoothly as possible for everyone.
  • I brought over a high-class service to this restaurant that guests weren't necessarily used to, but they ate it up. I was compensated with a $15 Starbucks gift card for being the server with the lowest percentage of dissatisfied reviews in the restaurant. I also have the second highest sales per cover in the restaurant, and I have never received a review that felt like I was trying to run up a check.

  • This restaurant was shirt and tie service.
  • It was a tip pool, so it made it very important to work as a team, ensuring efficient operations within the restaurant environment.
  • The team setting led to constantly training new servers and management to keep the team on the same page.
  • Performed opening and closing duties such as setting up the dining area, restocking supplies.
  • Had to have complete knowledge of the menu and how to handle any food allergies that may exist so that every guest could have an enjoyable meal under any circumstances.
  • Ensured that each guest was served courteously, quickly, and efficiently.
  • I learned how to flip tables with efficiency because the restaurant was small, with usually not a lot of reservations, so to have a good night, you needed to try to make it a good night.
  • Talking to the guests with class, trying to guide their experience with knowledge of wine pairings and the menu to enhance their experience while never seeming pushy or that I only viewed them as a check that I was trying to jack up became imperative.
