Senior Manager who has as foremost objective to lead and steer the development of a sustainable and profitable business for EXPRO in the area, for both Well Flow and Well Construction Product Lines. Over +60MM USD for 2024 budget. From gathering valuable local intel data by a team of collaborators, data analysis tools and performance metrics have been implemented to enhance the operational and business decision making process

Accomplishments and Responsibilities

  • Business & Marketing. Being aware of the dynamic market conditions of Mexico),current portfolio of clients is in the process to be expanded. Principal focus of interest; incorporating local content clients and expanding large portfolio of services to already established clients.
  • Business & Management. In charge of the annual budget cycle & monthly forecasting review. Monitoring budgeted opportunities, incorporating new ones, and periodically creating narratives of the variances observed.
  • Customer Engagement. Assessing and paving commercial road for each business opportunity detected. Initiating and overseeing legal and contractual due diligence process to continuously incorporate new clients into EXPRO portfolio, ensuring continuity and good business practices.
  • Procedures. Implementation of formal procedures to perform financial analysis for each bid submitted. Depending on opportunity value, such analysis is submitted to different level of approvals, -i.e., Country, Area, Region, in hierarchical order - but all intel data needed for each evaluation is collected and processed in each unit business.
  • Management. Improving operating cash flow metrics by means of straightening controls over Days Sales Outstanding and Account receivables turnover.

Lead the business development in the region for Drill Stem Testing & Tubing Conveyed Perforating (DST & TCP) product line.

Accomplishments and Responsibilities

  • Business & Commercial. Establishing a permanent business for Well Testing in Mexico. Starting in 2018 the stream of revenue for Well Testing services grew from a modest 700K USD to 3.8 MM USD in 2019, 9.7 MM USD in 2020, 20.8 MM USD in 2021- and 25.2-MM USD in 2022. Technical support, pricing strategies and benchmarking for all the bids and tenders in the region. For both IOC’s and NOC’s. Equinor, ENI, TOTAL, CHEVRON, SHELL, EXXON, BP, Pan-American, PETROBAS, ECOPETROL, PEMEX, YPF, to name a few.
  • Marketing. Participant in positioning EXPRO brand for Surface & Downhole Testing Services (Well Flow Management). PEMEX – Mexico.
  • Procedures. Actively involved in the investigation and root cause analysis for Service Quality events Product Line related in the region. Advocacy for creating and implementing lessons learned and best practices coming out from all the investigations. Encourage the technical interaction and standardization for job design procedures and post job analysis with central DST & TCP Product Line in Aberdeen, U.K.
  • Management, Supply Chain & Partnerships. Secure critical suppliers of specialized equipment. Metrolog (France); Electronic memory gauges, the entire region. Owen Oil Tools (USA); Shaped charge and perforating hardware, Colombia. HPHT packers, Chang-You (China). Management of Assets and Technical Personnel.
  • Technology: Introduction and trial of the first EXPRO acoustic data transmission system, DST application, in Mexico. Introduction and field test of XP DST Tools in Mexico (XP = High Temperature > 150 °C, High Pressure, > 15,000 psi). Implementation of traceable records for engineering modification on proprietary tools. Establishing TCP operations in Colombia and Argentina.

  • Project Management. Enable the technical and human resources to start operations upon the award of the largest DST & TCP contract for EXPRO, Mumbai, India. 2016 – 2017
  • Business & Commercial. Technical support, pricing strategies and bench marking for all the bids and tenders across Sub-Saharan Countries; Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo Pointe Noire, Angola, Kenya, Mozambique.
  • Procedures. Drafting and testing beta versions of a global service delivery procedure for TCP services across all locations. Assessing suitable partnerships with strategic suppliers of perforating equipment. GEO Dynamics (USA) for USA and Canada, DYNA Energetics (Germany) for Sub Sahara Africa and India.
  • Training. Develop systematized DST & TCP training programs for DST operations based on EXPRO proprietary portfolio of DST tools. Training programs delivered; Macaé Brazil 2013, Stavanger Norway 2014, TCP and Gun loading schools in Pointe Noire Congo, Douala Cameroon and Accra Ghana, 2014, 2015 & 2016 respectively.
  • Technology & Engineering: Implementation of engineering perforating job design by the introduction of Nodal Analysis and Gun shock Analysis. W.E.M and Pulse Frack Modeling. Active participation within engineering group to establish clear guidelines for the selection of elastomers for DST and TCP equipment.
